Skye – A Tribute in Oil
I was commissioned to paint this beautiful horse, Skye, as a heartfelt tribute after her passing. Her "mum" was heartbroken and wanted a lasting memory of the companion she had loved for 16 wonderful years. With only a few older photos to work from, I combined references and imagination to capture not just Skye’s likeness, but her gentle spirit.

The background reflects the landscape where Skye lived—a place she knew and loved. The finished piece now hangs proudly in their home, a tender reminder of a cherished friend who’ll always be part of their hearts.
