Commissioned in the UK as a special Christmas gift, this portrait of Marlee was painted from an outstanding reference photo chosen by her owner. Set in the moors near water—her absolute favourite place—Marlee is shown perched on the rocks, alert and ready for her next adventure. The setting, mood, and her joyful, wet fur perfectly capture the free-spirited and adventurous essence of this beautiful Springer Spaniel.

This was a large 18x24-inch oil painting on canvas board, and it was a joy to bring both Marlee and the landscape to life. The finished portrait now hangs proudly in the client's lounge, gifted to his wife for Christmas.
