Oscar was a much-loved Bichon Frisé who sadly passed away, and I was honoured to be commissioned to paint his portrait as a Father’s Day gift. This piece was a significant tribute to a cherished companion.

Oscar’s signature fluffy coat, gentle eyes, and sweet expression made him a joy to capture in oils. Using a favourite reference photo, I brought out the soft texture of his curls and the personality his family adored. These are the kind of portraits that truly stay with me—paintings that hold stories, memories, and deep emotional ties.

The finished painting was created on an 11 x 14-inch board and now hangs proudly, bringing comfort and joy to a family who loved him dearly.
