Jack – In Loving Memory

I was commissioned to paint Jack by a close friend of the family after he was tragically killed in a motorbike accident. The reference image — Jack sitting on the ground with a drill in hand, ready to work on his bike — was a favourite photo, as it perfectly captured his personality and passion for biking.

This portrait was gifted to Jack’s mum, who later called me to say I had truly captured her beloved son. Some paintings are incredibly emotional to create, and this was certainly one of them. I felt a deep connection throughout the process and was honoured to be able to preserve Jack’s spirit and energy on canvas.
