This 9x12 inch portrait captures a quiet, reflective moment of my daughter Sophie — my middle child — bathed in soft, natural light. She wasn’t looking at the camera, which made the moment all the more special; the way the light danced across her face and skin was too beautiful not to paint.

It now hangs, glamourously framed, alongside her brother and sister in what we fondly call the Rogues’ Gallery — my hallway filled with their portraits. As an artist, painting my children is one of my greatest joys, and this piece holds a very special place in my heart.
