Harry: Cockapoo

Harry – A Woodland Tribute is a memorial portrait commissioned to honour a much-loved Cockapoo after his passing. Created from reference photos, the painting brings together Harry, his favourite toys, and Bluebell Wood, where he loved to walk.

Harry had a real zest for life—he adored his toys and was never happier than when walking for miles through Bluebell Wood, his favourite place. I was asked to bring those two loves together in the portrait, combining a photo of Harry with his toys and the woodland where he roamed. After creating a digital mock-up to capture the vision, I completed the painting using Golden Open acrylics, chosen for their oil-like finish and faster drying time.
