There’s something timeless about this painting,  a fleeting summer moment caught between light and shadow. I wanted to capture not just a likeness, but that drowsy warmth of late afternoon, when the sun filters through the brim of a straw hat and everything feels still.
 
I built this piece in layers, beginning with a tonal underpainting to map the values before glazing in the soft golden light that dances across her skin. The dappled shadows were an exercise in patience and precision, those subtle transitions that make the figure feel alive.
 
For me, Daisy Daydream is about serenity and daydreaming, that quiet pause where you simply exist, surrounded by nature and lost in thought.
