Ocean Serenade is an original acrylic seascape painted to evoke the quiet romance of times gone by. I wanted to capture that moment when a tall ship drifts across calm water at sunset, warm light falling over the ocean, creating both serenity and a touch of nostalgia. There’s a timeless beauty in scenes like this, and I aimed to carry that feeling through the whole piece.
 
I painted this using Golden Open Acrylics, which allowed me to work more slowly and build the surface in a way that feels close to oils. Layer by layer, I shaped the ship’s silhouette, softened the reflections on the water, and developed the gentle glow of the setting sun. The interplay between the warm sky and the cooler sea was especially rewarding to refine.
 
The painting is framed in a grey wooden float frame and ready to hang. This is the original artwork, and no prints will be made, making Ocean Serenade an exclusive collector’s piece.
